I know "cycle-syncing" has been trendy & controversial, and while I certainly find it interesting I don't believe that it MUST ALWAYS dictate what you do/how you live. I DO think that it is valuable to be aware of the patterns you go through & know how certain habits affect the cycle; so you can go with the flow rather than against it.
I have honestly tried every diet under the sun (as a student athlete through to 2017) ; eating clean, IIFYM, block diet, paleo [carnivore adjacent], then eventually became vegan, which made sense for nearly half a decade before I shifted vegetarian for the sake of convenience & gains . Not that I don't believe it's possible to do what I'm doing on a vegan diet, it definitely is. This is simply what makes fits best for me right now. Who's to say it wont shift again?
Regardless of where you get your protein, humans should be plant based. The foundation of your diet should be an abundance (& variety) of produce - PLANTS!
You were meant to experience the world around you.
Restriction and limitation have their time and place, their intention, but you must love yourself first ; nourish your soul just like your body.
